Pennsylvania-based infrastructure engineering software firm, Bentley Systems, Inc. has announced the purchase of E7 Pty. Ltd., an Australian company in the field-based construction delivery software to facilitate heavy civil construction.
For the record, the acquisition adds additional capabilities to Bentley’s existing comprehensive project delivery system which helps the civil contractors meet the schedule and financial requirements of infrastructure investment solutions.
Notably, E7 helps organizations meet greater resource utilization and field productivity via web and mobile interfaces which will change the manual, field-led tasks into digital workflows. It also comprises of capabilities that are particularly designed for heavy civil construction, such as daily diaries, unplanned event tracking, dockets, timesheets, daily costs, and quantity progress measurements reports quickly.
In addition to the above, the flexible and reliable daily cost capturing methods of E7 will propel Bentley’s SYNCHRO construction modeling, reporting and project management, voice-based field data capture, task management, along with automation capabilities to develop a 4D construction digital twin solution.
Moreover, the combined efforts allow heavy civil contractors to optimize the use of field resources to stay on budget and schedule.
