With numerous consumers looking forward to the launch of new and advanced gadgets this year, Redmi India has decided to unveil the launch of Redmi Smart TV X series. Redmi India, a subsidiary of Mi India, has released statement stating that the electronics brand is all set to foray into the Smart TV category in the country.
The smart TV series has been reported to include the Redmi Smart TV X50, Smart TV X55, Smart TV X65. All the three smart televisions boast of the same specifications but are built in three different screen sizes. Moreover, the Smart TV X series comes with Dolby Vision and 4K HDR technology and is also likely to support HDR 10+.
As per official sources, the starting price of the Redmi Smart TV X series is about Rs. 32,999 for the 50 inch variant, Rs. 38,999 for the 55 inch product, and Rs. 57,999 for 65-inch smart TV. It has been claimed that these smart TVs are ready to go on sale on Mi.com, Mi Studios, Mi Home, and Amazon from 26th March at 12 noon and would be made available on brick and mortar stores in the later stages.
Redmi Smart TVs would run on Android 10 out of the box and are expected to come with Xiaomi’s PatchWall UI. Additionally, it also comes with three HDMI 2.1 enabled ports all of which bring ALM. The smart TVs also support Bluetooth 5.0 and dual band Wi-Fi.
Speaking on the launch, Chief Business Officer of Mi India, Raghu Reddy reportedly cited that India currently has 170 million households with televisions but less than 20 million homes own Smart TVs. This has apparently compelled the company to take a step forward and launch its range of Mi TVs over three ago and has been now leading the Smart TV market since the past 10 consecutive quarters.
